This Shipping and Delivery Policy constitutes a legally binding agreement that governs the terms, conditions, procedures, and financial responsibilities associated with the shipment and delivery of merchandise purchased by customers through the Yume Kaimono multi-vendor e-commerce marketplace platform. The term "platform" as used throughout this document refers collectively to the customer-facing website, the mobile applications available on the Android and iOS operating systems, the vendor portal interface, the administrative control panel, and all associated technological infrastructure, databases, and software systems that are owned, operated, and maintained by the Yume Kaimono partnership, a business entity duly organized and existing under the applicable laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The terms "we," "us," and "our" refer to Yume Kaimono and its authorized officers, employees, agents, and designated representatives. The terms "you" and "your" refer to the individual customer who has registered for an account on the Yume Kaimono platform and who has placed an order for merchandise listed for sale by one or more independent third-party vendors. The term "vendor" or "seller" refers to the independent business entity, sole proprietorship, or individual who has successfully completed the Yume Kaimono vendor verification and onboarding process and who has been granted the privilege of listing products for sale and fulfilling customer orders through the marketplace infrastructure. The term "Courier Partner" refers to Steadfast Courier, the designated third-party logistics service provider engaged by Yume Kaimono to perform the physical pickup, transportation, and delivery of packages from vendor locations to customer destinations. This Shipping and Delivery Policy is an integral and inseparable component of the comprehensive suite of legal agreements that govern the use of the Yume Kaimono platform, including but not limited to the Terms and Conditions of Use, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Wallet Credit Policy, the Return Policy, and the Cancellation Policy. All such documents shall be read together, construed harmoniously, and interpreted in a manner that gives full force and effect to their respective provisions. By accessing the platform, creating a customer account, browsing product listings, or completing the checkout process for any order, you hereby unconditionally and irrevocably acknowledge that you have read, comprehended, and voluntarily assented to be bound by each and every term, condition, and stipulation set forth in this Shipping and Delivery Policy. If you do not agree with any provision contained within this document, you are expressly and unequivocally prohibited from utilizing the services of the Yume Kaimono marketplace, and you must immediately cease and desist from any further access to the platform and refrain from placing any orders whatsoever.
The fundamental objective of this Shipping and Delivery Policy is to provide complete and transparent disclosure regarding the logistics processes, delivery charge calculations, and the respective roles and responsibilities of Yume Kaimono, Steadfast Courier, and the independent vendors in ensuring that purchased merchandise is transported from the point of origin to the customer's designated delivery address. The platform recognizes that timely, secure, and predictable delivery is a critical component of a satisfactory e-commerce experience. To this end, Yume Kaimono has established a strategic operational partnership with Steadfast Courier, a reputable and established courier service provider operating within the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Pursuant to this partnership, Steadfast Courier serves as the exclusive logistics service provider for the fulfillment of all orders placed on the Yume Kaimono marketplace during the initial operational phases. It is of paramount importance for customers to understand and acknowledge the distinct and separate legal and operational identities of the parties involved in the transaction. Yume Kaimono operates strictly as a technology platform and marketplace facilitator. The individual vendors are the sellers and shippers of record for the merchandise. Steadfast Courier is an independent contractor engaged to perform the physical carriage of goods. This policy delineates the specific obligations of each party and clarifies the allocation of risk and liability throughout the shipping and delivery lifecycle.
The calculation and presentation of delivery charges at the point of checkout are governed by a specific methodology that reflects the operational realities of a multi-vendor marketplace. Customers are advised that delivery charges are assessed and calculated on a per-vendor basis, not on a per-order basis. This means that if a customer places a single order that contains products sourced from multiple different vendors, the customer shall be responsible for paying a separate and distinct delivery charge corresponding to each individual vendor from whom a product is purchased. For purposes of illustration and clarity, if a customer browses the Yume Kaimono platform and adds a skincare serum from Vendor A, a lipstick from Vendor B, a set of artificial nails from Vendor C, a hair accessory from Vendor D, and a bottle of shampoo from Vendor E to their shopping cart, and subsequently proceeds to checkout and complete the purchase of all five items in a single transaction, the total delivery charge assessed to the customer shall be the sum of the individual delivery charges applicable to each of the five vendors. The delivery charge is not consolidated or averaged across the entire order. This policy is a direct consequence of the fact that each vendor operates from their own distinct physical location or warehouse, and Steadfast Courier must dispatch a separate rider or vehicle to each individual vendor address to collect the respective package. Each pickup and subsequent delivery constitutes a distinct and separate logistical transaction for which the courier service is entitled to its established tariff. The platform does not commingle inventory from different vendors, nor does it operate a centralized fulfillment center. Therefore, the customer's payment of multiple delivery charges reflects the actual cost incurred by the courier to perform multiple discrete pickups from geographically dispersed vendor locations.
The specific amount of the delivery charge applicable to a given vendor's shipment is determined by the tariff schedule of Steadfast Courier, which is based upon a combination of factors including, but not limited to, the weight and dimensional volume of the package, the geographic zone of the pickup location, and the geographic zone of the customer's delivery address. By way of current example and for the purpose of providing transparency to customers, the standard delivery charge for a shipment originating from a vendor located within the Dhaka metropolitan area and destined for delivery to a customer address also located within the Dhaka metropolitan area is approximately Seventy Bangladeshi Taka per vendor shipment. This rate is subject to change from time to time at the sole discretion of Steadfast Courier based on fluctuations in fuel prices, operational costs, and market conditions. Yume Kaimono does not control, dictate, or influence the tariff rates set by Steadfast Courier. The platform simply facilitates the collection of the delivery charge from the customer at the time of checkout and remits the entirety of such collected amount directly to Steadfast Courier in accordance with the billing and settlement arrangements between the platform and the courier partner. It is a material representation and warranty of this policy that Yume Kaimono derives absolutely no profit, markup, commission, fee, or financial benefit of any kind from the delivery charges collected from customers. Every single Taka that is paid by the customer under the line item designated as "Delivery Charge" or "Shipping Fee" on the order invoice is passed through in its entirety to Steadfast Courier as consideration for the courier services rendered. The platform's sole source of revenue in connection with the transaction is the commission on product sales and the fixed platform fee, as described in the Yume Kaimono Terms and Conditions of Use. This pass-through arrangement ensures that the customer is paying only the actual cost of the courier service without any hidden platform surcharges.
The logistical process for the fulfillment and shipment of an order commences immediately upon the vendor receiving notification of the order through the Yume Kaimono vendor portal or mobile application. The vendor is contractually obligated to process the order, which includes the picking and verification of the correct merchandise, the secure and appropriate packaging of the items, and the preparation of the package for handover to the courier, within a period not exceeding two business days. The vendor is solely and exclusively responsible for the packaging of all products sold through the Yume Kaimono platform. The vendor must ensure that the packaging materials used are of sufficient strength, durability, and protective quality to withstand the normal rigors and hazards of transit within the courier network. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of appropriate cushioning materials such as bubble wrap, air pillows, foam inserts, or crumpled paper to prevent movement and impact damage to the contents, as well as the use of leak-proof wrapping or sealed bags for any liquid or gel-based products to prevent spillage and contamination of other packages. The vendor must securely seal the outer carton or polymailer with strong packing tape and must affix the shipping label generated through the Yume Kaimono system in a clearly visible and legible manner. Upon completion of the packaging process, the vendor shall update the order status in the vendor portal to indicate that the package is ready for pickup. The Yume Kaimono system shall then automatically, or through manual coordination during the initial phase, transmit a pickup request to Steadfast Courier. A courier representative shall thereafter be dispatched to the vendor's designated pickup address to collect the package. The courier representative may perform a visual inspection of the exterior condition of the package at the time of pickup. The vendor is obligated to cooperate with the courier representative and to provide any reasonable assistance required to facilitate the smooth and efficient collection of the package. Once the package has been scanned by the courier's handheld device and loaded onto the courier's vehicle, the package is deemed to be in transit, and the custody and control of the package pass from the vendor to Steadfast Courier.
The allocation of responsibility and liability for the condition of the merchandise during the shipping and delivery process is clearly delineated to reflect the division of labor among the vendor, the courier, and the platform. Yume Kaimono, in its capacity as a technology intermediary and marketplace facilitator, does not take physical possession of any merchandise at any time during the fulfillment lifecycle. The platform does not operate any warehouses, fulfillment centers, or packing stations. The platform's personnel do not inspect, handle, package, or seal any products. Consequently, Yume Kaimono expressly disclaims any and all liability for any damage to, defect in, or loss of merchandise that is attributable to inadequate, improper, or negligent packaging by the vendor. If a package arrives at the customer's address with visible external damage, or if the customer discovers upon opening the package that the product inside is broken, shattered, leaking, or otherwise damaged, the responsibility for such damage shall presumptively lie with either the vendor for failing to package the item with sufficient care and protection, or with Steadfast Courier for mishandling the package during transit. The platform shall not be held financially responsible for the value of merchandise damaged due to vendor packaging failures or courier mishandling. However, in recognition of the platform's role as a customer advocate and marketplace administrator, Yume Kaimono is committed to facilitating the resolution of any such disputes. If a customer reports an issue of damage or loss, the platform shall, through its customer support and dispute resolution mechanisms, investigate the matter by reviewing any available evidence, including the mandatory unboxing video required under the Return Policy, the tracking history of the package, and any reports from the vendor and the courier. The platform shall use its commercially reasonable efforts to mediate the dispute and to assist the customer in obtaining an appropriate remedy, which may include a refund via Yume Kaimono Wallet Credits, in accordance with the applicable Refund, Return, and Cancellation policies. The platform's role in this process is that of a neutral facilitator and mediator, and the platform's involvement does not constitute an assumption of legal liability for the underlying damage or loss.
The estimated delivery timeframes provided to customers at the time of checkout or in subsequent order status communications are based upon the standard service level commitments published by Steadfast Courier for shipments within the relevant geographic zones. These timeframes are provided as estimates and guidelines only, and they commence from the date on which the vendor successfully hands over the package to the courier, not from the date on which the customer places the order. The platform and Steadfast Courier shall use reasonable endeavors to ensure that packages are delivered within the estimated timeframe. However, the customer acknowledges and agrees that actual delivery times may vary due to a multitude of factors that are outside the reasonable control of Yume Kaimono, the vendor, or the courier. Such factors may include, but are not limited to, adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, public health emergencies, road closures, traffic congestion, mechanical failures of transportation equipment, or errors in the address information provided by the customer. Time shall not be of the essence with respect to the delivery of any order placed on the Yume Kaimono platform. The platform shall not be liable to the customer for any delay in delivery, nor for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages that the customer may allege to have suffered as a result of a delivery delay. The sole and exclusive remedy available to a customer in the event of a delivery that is delayed beyond a reasonable period, or in the event of a package that is deemed lost in transit by the courier, shall be the cancellation of the order and the issuance of a corresponding credit to the customer's Yume Kaimono Wallet, in accordance with the provisions of the Cancellation Policy and the Refund and Wallet Credit Policy. The determination of whether a package is officially "lost" shall be made by Steadfast Courier in accordance with its own operational protocols and tracking data, and the platform shall rely upon the courier's determination for purposes of processing any associated customer remedies.
The customer bears a significant degree of responsibility for ensuring the successful and timely delivery of their order. The customer is obligated to provide a complete, accurate, and properly formatted shipping address during the checkout process. The address must include all relevant details, including the recipient's full name, a valid and active mobile telephone number, the house or building number, the road or street name, the area or neighborhood, the city or district, and the postal code if applicable. The platform shall not be responsible for any delay, misdelivery, or non-delivery resulting from an incorrect, incomplete, or outdated address provided by the customer. If a package is returned to the vendor or to the courier's facility due to an incorrect address, the customer shall be responsible for any additional shipping charges that may be incurred to re-attempt delivery to a corrected address. If the customer chooses not to pay for re-delivery, the order shall be treated as a post-shipment cancellation, and the customer shall be liable for the original delivery charges incurred, as set forth in the Cancellation Policy. The customer is also responsible for ensuring that someone is available at the delivery address to receive the package and to tender payment if the order was placed using the Cash on Delivery method. If the courier makes multiple delivery attempts and is unable to complete the delivery due to the unavailability of the customer or a responsible recipient, the package may be returned to the vendor. In such cases, the customer shall be considered to have refused delivery, and the provisions of the Cancellation Policy regarding post-shipment cancellations and the forfeiture of delivery charges shall apply.
The platform and its Courier Partner shall make every reasonable effort to deliver packages to the exact address specified by the customer. In certain circumstances, particularly in densely populated urban areas, gated communities, or commercial buildings with security protocols, the courier representative may be required to deliver the package to a central reception desk, a security guard post, or a mailroom rather than directly to the customer's individual door. The customer acknowledges and accepts that delivery to such an authorized receiving point at the specified address shall constitute valid and complete delivery of the order, and the risk of loss or theft of the package after such delivery shall pass to the customer. The customer is advised to communicate with their building management or security personnel to ensure that packages delivered on their behalf are properly safeguarded. Yume Kaimono and Steadfast Courier shall not be responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after having been successfully delivered to the address and receiving point designated by the customer.
In the unfortunate and rare event that a package is delivered in a condition that suggests tampering, pilferage, or severe damage to the exterior carton, the customer is strongly advised to exercise caution. The customer has the right to refuse acceptance of the package at the time of delivery if the exterior damage is so significant that it is reasonable to presume the contents have been compromised. If the customer chooses to refuse acceptance, they should clearly state the reason for refusal to the courier representative and, if possible, note the refusal on the courier's electronic proof of delivery device. The customer should then immediately notify Yume Kaimono customer support of the refused delivery. If the customer accepts a package with visible external damage, the customer should, if possible, note the condition of the package on the courier's delivery record. Regardless of whether a note is made, the customer's primary recourse for addressing any internal damage or missing items is to strictly comply with the evidence requirements set forth in the Yume Kaimono Return Policy, including the submission of the continuous, unedited video recording from the moment of handover through the unboxing process.
This Shipping and Delivery Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law principles that would result in the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to this Shipping and Delivery Policy shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and the parties irrevocably consent and submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. The platform reserves the right, exercisable at any time and in its sole discretion, to modify, amend, supplement, or restate this Shipping and Delivery Policy. Any material changes shall be communicated to registered customers via a notice posted on the platform or via electronic mail. The customer's continued use of the platform following such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. This Shipping and Delivery Policy, together with all other platform policies and agreements, constitutes the entire agreement between the customer and Yume Kaimono concerning the subject matter hereof. In the event of any conflict, the provisions of this policy shall govern matters related specifically to shipping and delivery. The failure of Yume Kaimono to enforce any provision herein shall not constitute a waiver. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The platform shall endeavor to provide a Bengali translation of this policy for accessibility, but the English version shall be controlling in all matters of interpretation.
